Dr I H Moore tells us about some of the more serious ailments that can come about as a result of auto-intoxication. “Distil the poison of decay, fermentation, and putrefaction into the blood, poisoning the brain and nervous system so that we become mentally depressed, melancholic, irritable and restless. It will poison the heart so that we are weak and listless, poison the lungs so that the breath is foul, poison the digestive organs so that we are bloated, belching and distressed with gas pains, poison the blood so that the skin is sallow, blotched, and unhealthy.” (North-western Medicine, vol. 5,). |
